Day 1: Typical Colors 2 by ROLVe & Dorcus Digital

 Introduction

Roblox's most famous and long-running Team Fortress 2 rip-off, Typical Colors 2 is one hell of an experience.

First off, I'm absolutely biased because I've played this since 2020.


It's true!

 Second of all, I've always loved TF2, & TC2.


So, enough delaying, it's about time now for my review.

Yapping Criticism

Typical Colors 2, created by ROLVe on July 12th of 2015, now owned by Dorcus Digital, a splinter group focused on TC2 and TC2 only. Let's talk about Dorcus first. Dorcus Digital is owned by MidnightKrystal, a ROLVe developer, Dorcus was founded around January 8th of 2024, generally this is good. Development focus on TC2 specifically, in which was honestly pretty rarely updated with any **actual** content. However, it wasn't all positives, and still isn't. Dorcus is rather, weird? With the direction the game is being taken in. It's so much different now compared to 2023 & 2024, and even if that's good it still doesn't feel right. It sometimes doesn't feel like TC2 anymore due to how incoherently overlapping the artstyle is now.

 This is a new cosmetic for Trooper, supposed to release in the next update. However, the colours are clashing and it's basically just a worse version of Tactical Terror, which is shown in the bottom left. I mean no hate to whoever designed this cometic, but seriously? It just doesn't really... fit well? It also breaks suggestion guidelines. Image by unnoved on Twitter.

 Back to talking more about Dorcus, the Discord server is rather hellish per se. Staff shadowban people a lot, specifically the now fired/removed Noki and the to my knowledge sitting member known as Ame, who also posted anime feet art in General chat once.. of which to what I know she was not punished for.

They also let in known disgusting individuals, specifically Icehaha and sandundertable, whoever the hell that is. I sent some stuff related to this to CeoOfIsaac on Discord, of which he is staff for the Digital Dorcus / TC2 discord server. No response albeit I'll leave that to the fact I don't think he really likes me. I won't talk about this much more as I don't really have the full story of it, but if the topic interests you I recommend reading through the tweets posted by MasknSuit on Twitter.


Developer Review

Ok, finally, here's the thing you've been waiting for, the review of the game itself.

First off, I love the music, CampyFire did amazing with it, and so did Dr_Right, who I believe is also making music for the game now? Not too sure about that though. The new UI redesign released sometime earlier this year is also super nice, I'm intrigued to know what would be in the ''archived'' section of the Fitten Co. store. Map builders do great as well, one exception is Banana Shore. Not that fond of the map truthfully, sorry Dr_Right. 

I'm not going to list out every developer and what they did, but just know they did great with the game.

The gameplay

The gameplay is great, to put it truthfully. The community is kind as well (Unless it's the Discord, in which they are very rude), the one nitpick with them is everyone likes leaving after a single round. The classes are all fun to play and balanced well, and it's fun to experiment with new loadouts you can buy for pretty cheap since you can get tons of Funds quickly. I enjoy every gamemode, but my favorite part about TC2 are the Community Servers, of which you do need to buy VIP to host one I believe, but it's worth it. You can customize it fully, make your own maps, bosses, import them into the game... it's really fun to mess around with. 
One of my favorites as of recently has been Dfy_4's SERVERBLIGHT server, I like the maps and I like the bosses, all well made. My favorite server of all time thought, isn't active anymore. It was I think called Slender Colors 2, of course a recreation of Slender Fortress 2. It was very fun! Not too repetitive, and that's about all I remember.




Total Rating

TC2 is a fun game with not much repetition, it's Discord is the hive of scum, but it's made up for by a fun & kind community.

Day 2: Corrupted Crossroads by Deveeon

TW// RETROSLOP Introduction Corrupted Crossroads is a game created by Deveeon in February of 2025. It's a Flee The Facility meets Forsaken sort of game! It's really unique, and I LOVE the map design so much. As for the gameplay... First off, the gameplay can be spiced up with your own unique combination of classes, abilities, or weapons you use as the ''Corrupted'' The maps have unique objectives, ex: ''Light the Campfires'' "Remove the fallen tree" "Enter the code", once those are all done you must survive until 1:00, and then you can open the gates and escape. Survivor The survivors are a team of up to 8 players, you start off with two abilities for free: Cola Rush & Barrier Wall, an offense abilities.
